Scientific Advisory Board
The NCIBI has established an active Scientific and Technical Advisory Board with the following members:
Eric Jakobsson, Ph.D. (CHAIR) Director, National Center for Biomimetic Nanoconductors, Professor of Molecular and Integrative Physiology, Biophysics, Bioengineering and Neuroscience at UIUC.
Kirstie L. Bellman, Ph.D., served as a Program Manager for the Domain-Specific Software Architecture (DSSA) program during her term at DARPA. She is the Principal Director of a bi-coastal research development center called the Aerospace Integration Science Center (AISC), and the Principal Scientist in the Computer Systems Division at the Aerospace Corporation.
Mark H. Ellisman, Ph.D. is a Professor of Neurosciences and Bioengineering at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). He also serves as the Director for: National Center for Microscopy and Imaging (NCMIR), Biomedical Informatics Research Network (BIRN) Coordinating Center, and Center for Research in Biological Systems (CRBS).
John Quackenbush Ph.D. Professor of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Harvard School of Public Health.
Ray Ruddon M.D., Ph.D. Professor Emritus, University of Michigan School of Medicine.
Joel Saltz M.D., Ph.D. Professor and Chair of the Department of Biomedical Informatics, at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health.
